Sally Polmear is an experienced teacher who has been practising and teaching meditation for fifteen years. She has run meditation courses in a variety of settings including teaching at the National Australia Bank, VicHealth, Bush Heritage, Nossal Institute for Global Health, the Legal Services Board, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, Capire Consulting Group, The Cancer Council and for the general public. She also provides individual meditation consultations.
Sally trained as a general nurse. She also worked as a secondary teacher, and taught creative dance for several years. She has completed yoga and meditation teacher training, has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is currently completing a Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have always been interested in quiet reflection and over many years have attended numerous meditation retreats, at Taizé Christian Community, France and in the past seventeen years under the leadership of Buddhist teachers, including a two month meditation retreat in 2012 under the guidance of Dr B. Alan Wallace.
Sally is grateful to the various teachers who have taught her the techniques that have had such a positive influence in her life.
It is a joy to me to be able to pass on to others these skills in meditation for mindful living.
